Don’t be afraid of your failures and brokenness because it is where His Glory shines the most, but it is required that you not hide it or be ashamed as if you are not allowed to be broken. Unveil your brokenness and failures and know that God will comfort and restore you so that you can comfort others and strengthen them. When He heals you, raise up others without judgment or impatience but with His love. Your exposed brokenness keeps you and saves you from pride. Pastor Albert says that God is all about restoration and lifting you up out of the pit. Today he said that you are marked by your failures but not defined by them. You are a beloved child of His.
There is a fog of lies that shroud our vision from seeing what his eyes look like. Through the fog, we imagine them to look disappointed or upset, and we’re afraid to approach him. When the fog lifts, we are left with the stark truth that there is only a look of longing to have nothing but us, failures and all. Our brokenness dissolves and all that is left is this feeling of bitter joy. Bitter because you are deeply sad at how much you’ve wronged the one who loves you and joy because you are finally home.
